RxPLORE Alumni Testimonials

The RxPLORE camp exposed me to a wide range of pharmacy professions that I did not know existed and helped me confirm my future goal of becoming a pharmacist. I was also able make new friends that have similar interests with me from around the country. All while experiencing an authentic college life at the University of Pittsburgh!

The RxPLORE camp gave me the opportunity to confirm my interest in Pharmacy, and it made me fall in love with the University of Pittsburgh. The lectures and activities run by professors exposed me to many different concentrations of pharmacy which showed me how diverse a career in pharmacy could be. The most memorable part of this camp, for me, was the sense of community among the faculty and students in Salk Hall. Everyone shares a passion for pharmacy and a genuine concern for their peers which creates a very welcoming environment that I am excited to be a part of.

The camp was such a great experience for me. It allowed me to spend time with people who share common interests with me. Spending a week in the dorms gave me a glimpse of what college life will be and gave me a great feel for the Pitt campus and the city of Pittsburgh. The camp not only caused me to fall in love with Pharmacy but also the University of Pittsburgh. It solidified my major choice of pharmacy through the interactions with faculty, students and all the hands-on activities!
